    This bead is a very old style bead
    . Found a lot in the Southeast in Native
    Am
    erican Village and trading sites. We have been
    having Rare Beads reproduced for over 30 years in small hand crafted
    batches, each hand made. These beads typically are so close to the originals
    it is difficult to tell the difference. We sell to Museums and historical re-enactors
    that simply cannot afford the very high priced Originals. Our beads were chosen
    to be used by the Canadian Government Fort William Historical Park because of
    there authentic look, as well as other Museums. Beware as many of our beads are being strung on Raffia
    grass and being sold as Antique or mixed into African Bead Strands.
