DESCRIPTION
A beautiful necklace handmade from different NEW powder glass African beads, IMITATING old Venetian FANCY trade beads and NEW Ashanti / Akan brass beads strung on a wax cord. The brass beads are made in the Ashanti region ( Kumasi - Ghana , West Africa ) using the Ancient " Lost wax " technique. A mold is prepared for each bead that is destroyed in order to remove the bead! For each bead a hand made mold from wax is needed ! The glass beads ( Krobo land - Ghana , West Africa ) are made from bottles and other glass items that are turned into powder, then into molds in order to create this nice looking beads. The necklace is 27 1/2" ( 69.5 cm ) long. The sizes of the beads are 9 - 14 mm in diameter. All beads are 100 % handmade. The clasp used for this necklace made from brass. YOUR NECKLACE WILL BE IDENTICAL TO THE ONE SHOWN IN THE PHOTOGRAPH (GIVEN NORMAL VARIATION SINCE THESE BEADS ARE ALL COMPLETELY HANDMADE).
The coin shown in the photo is approximately 20 mm in diameter that is similar to the size of 1 USA cent or 10 Euro cent or 1 UK Penny.
